Learn about our discounted FedEx shipping, domestic and international handling fees, and how we ensure fast, secure delivery of your notarized documents.
Your shipping cost is calculated as:
FedEx Shipping Rate — based on our discounted business account rates, typically lower than public rates.
Handling Fee — covers document preparation, packing, labeling, and drop-off.
For domestic shipments, a handling fee of $10–$20 per shipment applies.
For international shipments, a handling fee of $20–$40 per shipment applies. This reflects the additional time spent preparing customs paperwork and ensuring all international requirements are met.
Important Note on International Shipments:
To minimize delays and customs fees, we declare the contents as documents with a minimal value ($1). This is standard practice for legal document shipments and avoids unnecessary import duties or customs hold-ups.
Declaring the full invoice value could increase shipping costs and may trigger additional customs fees for the recipient. All shipments are sent in secure envelopes containing documents only.
We exclusively use FedEx International Priority for all international shipments. Economy options may seem cheaper but often rely on local postal services with limited tracking, no guaranteed transit times, and little or no liability coverage — an unacceptable risk for notarized documents.
Once we hand your shipment to FedEx (or your chosen carrier) and provide a tracking number, the carrier assumes responsibility for the safe and timely delivery. Shah Notary & Apostille Services is not liable for delays, loss, or damage that may occur during transit. FedEx terms and conditions will apply.
Delivery times are estimates provided by FedEx and are not guaranteed. Delays can occur due to weather, holidays, logistical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Import duties, taxes, or other fees may apply depending on the destination country. These are the recipient’s responsibility. We recommend checking with your destination's local customs office if you have questions.
Please ensure all shipping information is accurate and complete. Shah Notary & Apostille Services cannot be responsible for failed or delayed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
We are not liable for shipping delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, or government restrictions.
Shah Notary & Apostille Services is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments once the package is with the carrier.
